Learning for Life program graduates 28 young people as bartenders
Learning for Life gives talented young people the opportunity to reach all their
potential, facilitating access to employment through education in the field of
cocktail bar.
To date, the program has inspired and transformed the lives of more than 500 young people in
Peru, taking strength from the hand of local partners.
Diageo, the leading premium beverage company in the world, in partnership with Fundación Pachacútec and the collaboration of BTH Hotel, carried out the graduation ceremony of the VII promotion of the bartender training program Learning for Life, where 28 young people could receive their diplomas as cocktail professionals.
The event was attended by relatives of graduates, teachers and representatives of the companies that make this initiative a reality. The Learning for Life program offers a platform, knowledge, means and tools for your professional development in the world of cocktails. In addition, more than 90% of graduates manage to get a job in renowned bars and restaurants in Lima at the end of the program.
Larissa Yllada, public policy manager at Diageo, said: “With this VII promotion that is graduating, from Diageo, we reaffirm our commitment to positively transform the lives of young people through education. Throughout the program, we grant necessary instruments so that our students can later take advantage of the opportunities offered by the growing hospitality industry. We also want our graduates to be ambassadors of our brands and responsible consumption. ”
